I think I was castrated when I was young?

I think I was defiantly castrated when I was young, because my grandfather took me the hospital one day in China, and all I remember I had a big band aid over my penis for 3 days because of a wound and I couldn't pee. Now there is all the remaining is a straight line cut from the head down to my scrotum. This is horrifying to think 18 years ago I was castrated when I was in kindergarten. Can someone just verify for me that this is or is not a castration.
