What is the best bait for flathead catfish?

Live bait. Be it a bluegill, sucker, small carp, buffalo, any sort of live baitfish. Flatheads prefer LIVE bait. They aren't what you would call a "scavenger" like a channel or blue cat. Flatheads are picky when it comes to their food.
