Can a castrated cat still defend itself?

Definitely yes! My 7 year old male cat was fixed about 5 years ago. Even though he doesn't have the urge to mate, he still defends his "territory". If another animal, especially another cat, comes into my yard, he'll start growling and hissing. Frankly, I think it's "a man" thing...sorry guys (lol)!
