How do I register my car between states?

I live in an area that's directly on the border of Idaho and Washington. When I purchased the car, I registered it in WA since that's where my residence was many years ago. I recently changed my residence to ID, and my tags are set to expire very soon. What action do I need to take to re-register my car and obtain Idaho plates?
